CT Subcontractors Invited to Learn Bidding Tips for Historic Projects on Oct. 30

KBE Building Corp. to host free conference in West Hartford

WEST HARTFORD, Conn., Oct. 27, 2014 – Small business, minority-owned, and women-owned subcontractors across Connecticut will learn how best to bid on two historic KBE Building Corp. projects at a free conference on Oct. 30.

KBE is Design-Builder and Constructor for the $67.8-million, 183,600 s/f Litchfield Judicial District Courthouse construction project in Torrington and the $79-million, 210,000 s/f Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) Residence Hall at the University of Connecticut in Storrs.

WHAT:        

Small business, minority-owned, and women-owned subcontractors will learn how to access bid documents online, perform on-screen take-offs, and pre-qualify with the State Department of Administrative Services – along with the best way to bid on these upcoming KBE projects :

  • Litchfield Judicial District Courthouse in Torrington
  • University of Connecticut STEM Residence Hall in Storrs

All attendees will be eligible to win prizes, including a DeWalt Drill Driver.
