FARMINGTON, Conn. and COLUMBIA, Md. — KBE Building Corporation (KBE) “adopted” a family in need this past holiday season.
The 2012 Village Holiday Giving Tree Adopt-a-Family program, sponsored by the Village for Families & Children, Inc., a private non-profit organization in CT, connects businesses with families in need. In 2012, KBE decided to support a family from West Hartford by providing more than 30 gifts for Christmas, including a new laptop, vacuum cleaner, toys, books, art supplies, gift cards, and two sleds.
The Village for Families & Children, Inc. is dedicated to building a community of healthy families that protect and nurture children. The organization serves the Hartford, CT region through various placement and permanency, children’s behavioral health, and family and community support programs.
“We are really touched to be involved with this wonderful program,” said KBE Principal and CEO Mike Kolakowski. “This family is so courageous, and we are delighted to have been able to give them a merry Christmas.”
