HARTFORD, Conn., Feb. 8, 2013 — Progress is well underway on the 80-unit Nelton Court housing development now being constructed by KBE Building Corporation (KBE) (www.kbebuilding.com), the design-builder and constructor for the project. The project’s developer is Simon Konover Development Corporation, and the designer was John C. Clark & Associates, Architects.
The $21 million dollar project is federally funded through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and Hartford Housing Authority and provides for the new construction of 80 wood-framed and modular multi-family residences, with units ranging in size from one to four bedrooms and a 4,000 square-foot community center. The project also included asbestos abatement and the demolition of the circa 1940s housing development on the site. The project is slated for completion in July 2013.
