KBE Completes Waterside Entertainment District in Norfolk, VA

May 22, 2017 – The newly renovated Waterside District celebrated its grand opening this month, thanks to the efforts of KBE Building Corporation’s Maryland office. Waterside District is a dining & entertainment district set on the Norfolk, VA waterfront.

The developer, The Cordish Companies, has embarked on a $40 million comprehensive revitalization of the district, and engaged KBE as the Construction Manager. KBE managed the demolition of the interior mall, structural modifications, MEP and architectural improvements to create a vibrant facility with entertainment space, as well as the construction of several restaurants. Exterior work included facade renovation, construction of extensive patios and outdoor bars, exterior lighting, and a multi surface lot for events and entertainment. KBE also completed the interior fit-out of two restaurants – Guy Fieri’s Smokehouse and Harbor Club.
