MADISON, Conn., Oct. 16, 2014 – Local humanitarian and principal of KBE Building Corp. Simon F. Etzel, Jr. will be honored by the Women’s Auxiliary of Jewish Senior Services at the group’s Oct. 23 Fall Gala, featuring a performance by Art Garfunkel.

Art Garfunkel will perform an intimate, private concert after Simon F. Etzel, Jr. receives the Jewish Senior Services’ Arthur and Gladys Lunin Humanitarian Award in honor of his outstanding public and community service. The event will also include a dinner and auction.

Background
Simon F. Etzel, Jr. is Senior Vice President of Procurement and a principal of KBE Building Corporation, a $300 million commercial design-build, construction management, and general contracting firm headquartered in Farmington, Conn.
Etzel has had a significant impact as a philanthropist, business leader, and community supporter, especially through KBE’s corporate philanthropic program, 50 Ways to Make a Difference. Etzel also chairs the Board of Trustees for The Cove Center for Grieving Children and is on the Advisory Council for Habitat for Humanity of Greater New Haven.
