Here’s what it looks like when a group of overachieving construction guys and gals assemble and deliver 200 Thanksgiving feasts to families in need….

This past Thanksgiving, KBE donated 200+ turkeys and all the trimmings as part of our fifth annual “Gift of Gobble: Thanksgiving’s On Us” program.

Each year, about 40 KBE employees and their families gather on the Saturday morning before Thanksgiving to assemble the gift baskets. Amid the frenetic pace is a lot of laughter – and the humble appreciation that we are able to make even a small difference in lives of others in our communities.

In Connecticut, KBE provided Gift of Gobble meals for community and family service agencies and food banks located in Cardinal Shehan Center in Bridgeport; Food Bank at Access Community Services in Danielson; Jewish Home in Fairfield; Farmington Community Services in Farmington; Odd Fellows in Groton; Columbus House and AFRC in Middletown; Habitat for Humanity and Columbus House in New Haven; and Waterbury Youth Services in Waterbury. (with thanks to WB Mason and Bozzuto’s as well).

KBE’s Columbia, MD staff also got in on the Gift of Gobble action, assembling 25 Gift of Gobble boxes in conjunction with generous food donations from Harris Teeter. The meals were delivered to two Maryland charities, Sarah’s House in Ft. Meade and the Bea Gaddy Family Center in East Baltimore.
