MEDIA ALERT: Gift Of Gobble Volunteers Gather Saturday, Nov. 23 at KBE

Media Alert:  KBE Building Corporation Team Members Come Together to Assemble and Donate Thanksgiving Dinners for 200 Families on Saturday, November 23 at 8 a.m.  

:  KBE Building Corporation’s 5th Annual “Gift of Gobble” Thanksgiving Dinner Donation kicks off bright and early Saturday morning, Nov. 23 with KBE employees joining together to assemble and deliver 200 boxes of food for Connecticut families in need.

Each box will include everything necessary for a classic Thanksgiving dinner, including a turkey, stuffing, gravy, cranberry sauce, corn, beans, potatoes, yams, rolls, apple pie, pumpkin pie, and a roasting pan. Boxes will be delivered to eight different charitable organizations throughout Connecticut. The “Gift of Gobble” is an annual event in KBE’s award-winning community outreach initiative, 50 Ways to Make a Difference.  

: KBE volunteers will assemble and deliver the meals to community and family service agencies and food banks located in Bridgeport, Fairfield, Farmington, Groton, Hartford, Middletown, New Haven, and Waterbury. A complete list of organizations receiving the “Gift of Gobble” will be available to the press on Saturday, Nov. 23.  

: The “Gift of Gobble” is a great way to kick off the Thanksgiving holiday week and show local residents helping their fellow Connecticut citizens. KBE employees and their families enjoy sharing their seasonal spirit in this heart-warming display of community.  Local media are invited to the event to showcase the true spirit of Thanksgiving.

When: The “Gift of Gobble” will begin at 8 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 23. Assembly and delivery of Thanksgiving dinner boxes is expected to take approximately two hours. [Media are invited to accompany drivers on their deliveries to charities in the area with advance notice by 1 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 22.]
