New Space for Long-Time Farmington Firm KBE Building Corp.

FARMINGTON, CT, Sept. 14, 2015 – Always busy building great new spaces for clients, KBE Building Corp. (https://kbebuilding.com/) (KBE) is enjoying a new space of its own, having just re-located its Farmington office to 76 Batterson Park Road.

KBE’s former office was located at 30 Batterson Park Road, and the move was officially “just around the bend”—however, it signifies a bright future for the 56-year-old firm, which has been based in Farmington for the last 15 years.

Meeting Norwalk’s Need

76 Batterson Park Road is hardly the only new office KBE has occupied this year. As part of a strategic expansion, the firm opened its second office in Connecticut (and third office total) in Norwalk, CT in May. The Norwalk office is located at 200 Connecticut Avenue, Suite 5J.

“During the past twenty years, we’ve done so much work in Fairfield County that opening an office there was just a no-brainer,” said Allan Kleban, KBE’s VP of Business Development.

KBE’s current Fairfield County construction projects include the new residence hall at the University of Bridgeport and the Jewish Senior Services building at the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg campus, also in Bridgeport

Three Thriving Offices

In addition to its two offices in the Northeast, KBE operates its Mid-Atlantic work out of Columbia, MD; that office is located at 7150 Columbia Gateway Drive, Suite A.

“Each of our three offices has so much opportunity, and that’s really exciting for us at this point in our business,” said Mike Kolakowski, KBE’s President, CEO, and principal owner. “Another great benefit of having three offices is that we get to do that much more in those communities as part of our 50 Ways to Make a Difference program.”

Established in 2009 to celebrate KBE’s new ownership, name change, and 50 years in business, 50 Ways to Make a Difference (https://kbebuilding.com/50ways.php) has helped KBE associates donate more than $1.7 million and 9,000 volunteer hours to charitable causes benefiting children, seniors, and military veterans in Connecticut and Maryland.
