Description: General Contractor for award-winning, state-of-the-art recreation facility set on the grounds of Claude Moore Park in eastern Loudon County, Virginia. The design, with its barn style architecture and silo, echoes the agricultural heritage of the region. The Recreation Center provides area residents with an indoor 50-meter competition pool, leisure pool, 150-foot water slide, therapeutic pool, locker rooms, a 10,000 sf gymnasium, rock climbing wall, 11,000 sf fitness area, and an upper-level jogging track that overlooks the fitness and pool area. Other amenities include a kitchen, teen room, community, rooms, and childcare areas.
The centerpiece of the facility is the 50-meter indoor swimming pool, used for swim team competitions from around the region. The design, with its barn style architecture and silo, echoes the agricultural heritage of the region.
