Madison Ambulance Center

Madison Ambulance Center

Location: Madison, CT
Client: Town of Madison
Architect: East Wharf Architects (Madison, CT)
Description: Design-Builder and Constructor for the two wood-framed buildings – the 14,000 sf senior center and 3,500 sf ambulance center. The building was designed to reflect the surrounding residential neighborhood. Spacious bays provide ample room for the Town’s ambulances. The facility also offers a television/reading room and five activity rooms. KBE worked closely with the Town of Madison and the design team to develop a comprehensive solution for the new Senior Center and Ambulance Center. The schedules of the projects were condensed to run concurrently, instead of one after another, to reduce costs.

With the project over-budget at the design phases, KBE recommended that the Town use the design-build delivery method to complete the project, which helped significantly control and reduce project costs.
